Frimley Park Run
Hi All,
I did the first Frimley Park Run 5k on Saturday. It was well organised (apart from a few day 1 glitches) and the course was pretty nice. It is 2 laps around the footy fields and the canal towpath at Frimley Lodge. You have to be careful to avoid the various dogs on the course and not to fall in the canal but it all adds to the fun! Anyway, the reason I mention it is that there is a club league table associated with the event and so the more BFR competitors we get to the event, the further up the league table we go and most importantly, the higher up the list the link to this website is i.e. potential new members. I spoke to a few runners after the event and almost all of them were not affiliated and were looking for a club to join.
Even if we didn't get any new members from it, it is a good speed session to incorporate into your training.
