Datchet Dash?

Great to see so many BFRs competing yesterday, well done to all. Wow, was that fast and furious start to the XC season or what? I was left for dead, then ended up in no-mans-land on my own with nobody to talk to but my blistered foot, until I managed to reel in couple of flagging runners at the end, where I showed them the brown artwork on the backs of my legs and a dirty pair of heels. It seemed like quite a tough field of runners, only Leslie managed to mix it up with the big boys, well done sir. I felt like I should have tried a bit harder when Leslie told me he'd been sick just after the race. I shall have to work on that, either by pushing myself to the limit throughout the race, or eating a greasy kebab on the start line. As a suggestion to the committee, maybe we could start a communal BFR sick bucket for the end of races, the volume of contributions being proportional to amount of team effort - a SICAT rating if you please. I await to hear the verdict. The course may well have been flat, but the ground was as a lumpy as cup of tea made with milk powder. My first purchase, when I finally find gainful employment, is a pair of off-road shoes - my feet were all over the place. I can't wait for the next one in Sandhurst, if only to gorge my self on cake and sandwiches. I couldn't believe the amount of food!

Click the link below to have a look at some photos, kindly taken by Jenny, who I am told went to Costa while we were all haring around the Eton mess. It did seem to get cold towards the end, thankfully it didn't rain though.

Lee and Aarron look like they were having a good battle throughout the race.
